1. Eligibility and Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and recovery key.
• You are responsible for all activity performed through your account.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date.

2. Service Description

Verba provides vocabulary and lexicon tools, study modes, games, printing features, and community/discovery sharing features. Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Verba for illegal, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
• Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt service operation.
• Publish content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights.
• Automate abusive scraping, request flooding, or other behavior that harms infrastructure stability.

4. User Content and Responsibility

You retain ownership of content you create in Verba. You grant Verba a limited license to host, process, copy, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service. You are solely responsible for your content and its legality.

5. Public Lexicons, Sharing, and Moderation

• Public/discovery submissions may be reviewed, approved, rejected, or removed by administrators.
• Shared lexicon links may allow others to import content into their own account.
• We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or creates legal/operational risk.

6. Security and Account Recovery

Passwords and recovery keys are stored in hashed form. You are responsible for securely storing your recovery key. If you lose required credentials, account recovery may be limited or unavailable.

7. Availability and Changes

Verba is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may suspend or modify features for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.

8. Fees and Donations

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Verba is offered without subscription fees. Any optional donations or third-party payments are voluntary and generally non-refundable unless required by law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security risk, or abuse service resources. You may stop using Verba at any time. Termination does not eliminate obligations that should survive by nature (for example, legal compliance and dispute terms).

10. Intellectual Property

The Verba service, branding, software, and platform materials (excluding user content) are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. No transfer of ownership is granted except as expressly stated.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verba and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business interruption arising from use of the service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Verba and its operators from claims, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, misuse, or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Verba operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Venue and dispute process will follow applicable local law unless otherwise required.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms, unless applicable law requires additional consent.
